Building power through collaboration. Our councils unite to address food insecurity through the Thrive Food Drive, mobilize collective action for Get Out the Vote (GOTV), and celebrate culture and community at Juneteenth and the African American Festival. Welcome!
Building a better future through compassion
On behalf of our officers and members, I extend a warm greeting and heartfelt welcome to National Pan-Hellenic Council of Prince William -Stafford (VA) Council (NPHC-PWS) website. NPHC-PWS is a non-profit organization comprised of Black Greek-letter sororities and fraternities, collectively known as the Divine Nine. Our mission is to promote unity, foster collaboration, and uplift our community through service and advocacy. We are 52 members representing over 2,000 in chapter membership.
Through forums, meetings, and programs, we strive to facilitate the exchange of ideas, foster cooperative initiatives, and strengthen our communities. Our impactful programs include addressing food insecurity through food drives, hosting candidate forums, partnering with other community organizations, and providing scholarships to high school seniors. We are also involved in national and local initiatives like African American Festival, Wreaths Across America, Juneteenth and other various community celebrations.
In addition to our service and community involvement, we host social activities such as Mix & Mingles, our annual Greek in the Park, and charter celebrations to strengthen the bonds within our organizations.
Each member chapter is represented by two delegates and two representatives. Chapter members are allowed to attend our meetings and participate on committees with approval from their chapter president. Our council meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month.
Thank you for visiting our website, and we invite you to join us in our ongoing efforts to serve, connect, and uplift our communities.
Warm regards,
Lorraine P. Jackson
